Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using TraceNote, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
License
Subject to your compliance with these terms and an active subscription (following the free trial period), we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use TraceNote on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your personal or professional use.
Subscription & Billing
TraceNote offers a 7-day free trial, after which an annual auto-renewable subscription is required to continue using the app. Billing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The following terms apply:
- Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Your Apple ID account will be charged on renewal within 24 hours before the period ends
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings under Subscriptions
- No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period, except as required by applicable law
- The free trial will not be offered again to any Apple ID that has previously used a free trial for TraceNote
Acceptable Use
You agree to use TraceNote only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for the content you create, capture, and export using the app. In particular:
- You must comply with all applicable laws regarding recording audio conversations, including obtaining consent from all parties where required by local law
- You must not use TraceNote to record conversations in jurisdictions where doing so without consent is illegal
- You must not use TraceNote in any way that violates the privacy or rights of others
Intellectual Property
The TraceNote app, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of its developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the app.
All content you create within TraceNote — recordings, notes, photos, signatures — remains yours. We claim no ownership over your session data.
Disclaimer of Warranties
TraceNote is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that transcription or OCR results will be accurate or complete.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use TraceNote, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of TraceNote shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of TraceNote after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
